Recreation Services Department:
Recreation Services is one of seven departments within the City of Richfield. The department includes around 20 full-time and 65 part-time/seasonal employees. The director of Recreation Services is Jim Topitzhofer.
The Richfield Recreation Services Department has 21 parks or 300 acres of park land, an ice arena with two ice sheets, an outdoor pool and waterslide, state-of-the-art skate park, 150-acre Nature Center, mini-golf course and dozens of programs, classes and services for everyone.
The success of the Department is attributed to dedicated staff and
guidance and involvement of community and advisory groups, including the Community Services Commission, Friends of Wood Lake, and the
Senior Advisory Board.

The Recreation Services Department plays an integral role in providing opportunities for residents to interact with one another.
