Richfield boasts 450 acres of park land, which is maintained with care by the Richfield Parks Maintenance Division. However, it can be difficult for them to keep up with trash that collects around the parks, especially in the spring when the snow melts to reveal all that was left behind over the winter!

So, Richfield’s parks are lucky to have caring friends and neighbors who have adopted Richfield’s parks!

Richfield Adopt-A-Park groups pledge to clean up a Richfield park at least twice a year: once in late April and at least one other time during the year (each group can determine a date that fits their schedule).

Anybody can adopt a Richfield park! Many parks are adopted by more than one group (the more, the merrier!). If you would like to commit to ongoing clean up efforts, but don’t belong to a group, we want to hear about your good deeds so we can list you as a Friend of the Park! This can include neighbors, frequent visitors, or anybody who wants to pitch in!

Remember: if any garbage has sharp or jagged edges or looks hazardous in any way, please do not touch it. Please report it to Parks Maintenance at 612-861-9170.

Richfield’s residents, visitors, businesses and staff are grateful for your help! Thanks!
